Delta Gov’s Aide Threatens Lawsuit Over BBNaija Finale Result

The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has threatened to sue the organisers of Big Brother Naija Season 10 following the announcement of Imisi as the winner of the reality television show.

Ossai made the threat in a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday night shortly after the conclusion of the show’s live finale.

He accused the show’s organisers of manipulating the voting process to ensure that Dede, who finished as the first runner-up, did not win the top prize.

“Dede was robbed by BBNaija organisers because Delta boy Kellyrae won last year’s season, so they didn’t want another Delta to win this year’s edition,” Ossai wrote.

He added, “She truly deserved the Big Brother Naija crown, not the second position. I’ll be suing Big Brother Naija on behalf of Dede because the voting was rigged. I’m highly disappointed in this season.”

Ossai further claimed that the outcome was deliberately influenced to prevent contestants from Delta State from securing consecutive victories in the competition.

“She ought to have been the winner, not because she’s from Delta, but because she made everyone who watched the show proud,” he added.

The show’s organisers had on Sunday, October 5, declared Imisi as the winner of the 10th edition of Big Brother Naija, themed “10/10”, after 10 weeks of intense competition.

Imisi walked away with the grand prize of ₦150 million after polling the highest number of votes from viewers across the country.

Dede, who came second, was followed by Faith in third place, while other housemates were evicted during the finale broadcast live on multiple television and digital platforms.

The management of Big Brother Naija has yet to issue any official response to the allegations of vote manipulation or Ossai’s threat of legal action.

The reality show, which is produced by MultiChoice Nigeria, remains one of the most popular and commercially successful television programmes in the country.
