One of the leading contenders for the Osogbo South LCDA Chairmanship and leader of the council Parliament, Hon Badmus Akeem Olaiya popularly known as BAO has felicitated with Muslims on this year’s Eid-el kabir celebration.
In a statement issued on Thursday, BAO wished Muslim faithful in Osogbo South in particular, Osun state as a whole and Nigeria in general, the best of celebration.
He admonished them to imbibe the salient lessons of the festival and emulate the humility, act of keeping promises, perseverance, understanding and love exemplified by the life of Prophet Ibrahim.
The Osogbo born grassroot politician urged the entire Osun residents and his fellow politicians to take a cue from Prophet Ibrahim’s selfless attitude by keeping to their electoral promises to the people, while the electorates should also reciprocate the gesture by supporting the good government of Governor Isiak Oyetola to lead us to the promise land.
“As we celebrate, it is important to remember the words of Allah which remind and harp on piety as neither the meat, nor the blood of the animals that would be slaughtered reach Him. May Allah accept our supplications from us,” he said.
