Family Life Not Likely Anytime Soon — Burna Boy 

Nigerian Grammy-winning artist, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed that he may not begin a family in the near future.

The 34-year-old Afrobeats star made this known during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra in London, United Kingdom.

When asked if starting a family was on his agenda, Burna Boy replied, “Yeah, but I don’t want to start that on the road. I’m not planning of quitting tours anytime soon, so I don’t know where to now put that [starting a family]; find a middle ground.”

The singer explained that his continued music tours across the world are the main reason he has postponed settling down.

He added that touring does not allow him the stability he believes is necessary for starting and raising a family.

Burna Boy also shared that the absence of children in his life means he rarely takes holidays, as there is little personal motivation for one.

“I haven’t gone on a holiday since the start of my music career,” he disclosed.

The ‘African Giant’ crooner is currently one of the most active Nigerian artists on the global stage, with performances across several continents.

Despite his career success, Burna Boy noted that family life remains important, but only when he is ready to pause his global commitments.
