The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has declared that no amount of insults will provoke him or derail his spiritual mission.
Pastor Adeboye made the statement during his sermon at the July Holy Ghost Service, held on Friday evening at the Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State.
The revered cleric said he had faced several verbal attacks but remained unfazed, stressing that criticism would not push him into anger or retaliation.
“Anger is temporary madness. You don’t want to be mad,” he said during the service.

“Some people will do some things that will cause you to be angry, but don’t fall into their trap.”
He warned his congregation against anger, describing it as a destructive force capable of ruining destinies.
“One of the easiest ways to have your destiny destroyed is to get angry. Many people have said all kinds of nonsense about me. They are waiting for me to get angry one day. That is what they are planning, but I’m going to reach my goal,” he stated.
Adeboye also recounted an encounter with an unnamed African head of state who sought divine healing after all medical interventions failed.
He explained that the head of state had heard about his healing ministry and made efforts to invite him for prayers through the local RCCG pastor in his country.
“I remember the case of one head of state somewhere in Africa who had a problem that no doctor could handle… he said send for your General Overseer,” Adeboye said.
However, Adeboye declined the invitation, saying his schedule was already fully booked and that he was “very busy.”
He added, “I didn’t want to explain that there is one Excellency that is more excellent than the other.”
The cleric revealed that the head of state later travelled to Nigeria and received healing at the Redemption Camp.
“When the problem reached a stage, he changed his mind, and the very day he got on this campground, God solved the problem,” Adeboye said.
