“My first child is a baby girl. I lost her because I couldn’t pay hospital bills. She was taken to the hospital in the Iddo area of Lagos State. I trekked from Ijora Badia to Makoko, and I couldn’t get any money until she died,” he said.
According to the actor, his daughter was later buried using an old wooden Coca-Cola crate due to the lack of funds for a proper burial.
He added, “My first child was buried in the old wooden crate of Coke. I was helpless at the time and did what I could.”
Chatta clarified that his well-known son, Malik, is not his firstborn, countering common assumptions about his family background.
The actor’s revelation has sparked reactions online, with many fans expressing surprise at the hardships he endured earlier in life.
As of the time of reporting, Chatta has not released further details regarding the exact date of the incident or the identity of the late child’s mother.
The actor, known for his roles in Yoruba-language films, has previously spoken about overcoming personal and professional challenges in the industry.
